Turns out that the Visual Studio 2011 Beta is just around the corner and information has come to hand about the design and features of the new UI.
It’s a image viewer which queries Flickr for pictures of beards. It also incorporates live maps to show geolocation information attached to the photos. Why beards? Because these days beards are becoming the “badge of the hipster” and hipsters must be eliminated. Visual Studio 2008 – SignTool reported an error SignTool Error: Signtool requires CAPICOM version 220.127.116.11 or higher. Windows 7 and regsvr32.
Today I ran into an interesting error while trying to deploy a new version of a ClickOnce application that I maintain. When publishing my solution from Visual Studio 2008 (9) the following error would occur:
SignTool reported an error SignTool Error: Signtool requires CAPICOM version 18.104.22.168 or higher. Please copy the latest version of CAPICOM.dll into the directory that contains SignTool.exe. If CAPICOM.dll exists, you may not have proper permissions to install CAPICOM.
